Two 51¶¯Âþ College students recently performed at the 68th annual Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Honors Band Festival at Bloomsburg University. Featuring more than 30 colleges and universities, this year marked the first time 51¶¯Âþ has participated in the Festival.

51¶¯Âþ freshman Peter Horger, Tunkhannock, performed on the trumpet and received third place honors. 51¶¯Âþ freshman Tim Nawrocki, Tunkhannock, played the flute and earned first chair.51¶¯Âþ’s Department of Instrumental Music was introduced in the fall of 2014 and features multiple performing groups: a symphonic band, a jazz ensemble, chamber ensembles, a jazz combo, and a pep band for athletic contests.
