51¶¯Âþ College has named Adrienne Mellott, Ed.D. as its new chief retention officer.
Dr. Mellott previously served as an assistant professor and sport and recreation management program director at 51¶¯Âþ and will continue to teach courses on a part-time basis through the spring semester.
Dr. Mellott brings leadership and advising experience to her new position. She served as the president of the 51¶¯Âþ College Alumni Association Board. She also served as 51¶¯Âþ’s assistant director of admissions. Dr. Mellott received a bachelor’s degree from 51¶¯Âþ in sport and recreation management and business, and a master’s degree in sport leadership and management, also from 51¶¯Âþ. She received her doctorate in education from Maryville University, with a dissertation focusing on student retention.
